Gaming Center / Injustice: Gods Among Us
« on: March 07, 2013, 08:41:19 AM »
One of the two big Comic Book games coming out this year, Injustice: Gods Among us has my hyped like a little kid. So let's get to talking but first off the confirmed roster and speculation pictures courtesy of /co/morades http://images.4chan.org/co/src/1362604062592.jpg

The story really seems to be the driving force behind the game, and seeing how well NRS did with the last Mortal Kombat game, I have no doubt that this game will be very good so yeah

Gaming Center / Call of Duty Black Ops II
« on: November 14, 2012, 07:06:03 AM »
Whether you love, hate, or indifferent towards Call of Duty, you all know that Black ops II was just released today. Personally I love the trayarch Call of Duty games, as I feel they do their best to try and improve over their past iterations, that and well Treyarch CoD games have Zombies, and well who doesn't love them some good old fashion zombie slayin. So discuss the game, do you feel it's just a waste of a release, or if it is any good, me persoanlly I won't be getting the game till friday, but what I've heard from several people it is a better experience than MW3, and well thats a game that I really dont want to talk about so yeah discuss and what not

Gaming Center / Pokemon Black/White 2
« on: November 08, 2012, 08:58:35 AM »
So this game has been out for about a month now, and I gotta tell you it is quite a blast to play. I'm glad Gamefreak was forced to do something else besides a third version of the game for once during the generational gap period and gave us what seems to be the first number sequels to the main series of games. But if you guys haven't picked up a pokemon game in a while I would recommend you pick this up, because even if you are a gen one baby (not meant as an insult) the expanded regional dex makes it that you can capture some of you're favorite pals from the earlier generations of games

One of the most hyped up movies of the year has been released for well over a week, and honestly I couldn't be happier the way the trilogy ended, Bane and Catwoman where protrayed extremely well by their respective actors, the film overall was fun and enjoyable so lets discuss anything about the film in general or the trilogy overall (also Man of Steel teaser trailer, kid clark scene when he's wearing the cape almost had me in tears)

Gaming Center / E3 2012
« on: June 05, 2012, 02:52:31 PM »
alright the Electronic Entertainment Expo is well underway and your friendly neighborhood Bandit is here to give you folks a recap of the event so here we go peoples!

Microsoft

Halo 4 is the biggest story that Microsoft had, with a new trailer that not only showed gameplay, but also how great the game looks like

Splinter Cell: Blacklist, looked alright but te Kinect feature have me intrigued

Tomb Raider, color me impressed this game just looks like a blast to play, the bow action was sick, honestly I'm looking forward to this and let's ask ourselves, when was the last time we where looking forward to a Tomb Raider game eh?

South Park RPG, I laughed during the presentation, Parker and Stone may have been the highlight of the press conference, overall I'm really interested in seeing how the game turns out, also I'm totally gonna choose Jew as my class

The presentations on the non gaming items (ie smartglass) just dragged on and honestly ruined what could have been a very good show, while yes getting data sent to my phone to remind to exercise on Nike+ training is cool and all, I have an alarm clock and schedule to remind me to work out, overall the conference just felt a little bit after Halo. Which just goes to show you, don't start the conference with your best title though to be honest it was better than last years

EA

FIFA 13, im a FIFA fanboy so this got me excited, though not much seems to have improved from FIFA 12, but then again FIFA 12 got almost every single mechanic right so kinda hard to improve from that

MADDEN 13, another Football game not much to talk about here

Need for Speed, this game looks like fun, hopefully it turns out better than need for speed the run <_<

Dead Space 3, well the game graphically looks fantastic, however from what they showed the horror element seems to have gotten replaced by more action, also they where not in space

Medal of Honor, well it looks pretty, but I don't know I wasn't feeling the game it looked like it played very similar to CoD

Crysis 3, game looks great as usual, but after the letdown that was Crysis 2 heres hoping they get it right with this one

EA was a tad bit better than Microsoft, due to actual games being shown, but overall it felt like an average presentation, there wasn't that memorable moment but it wasn't terrible by any means

Ubisoft

Rayman Legends, my god I cannot wait to get this game it looks absolutely fantastic on the WiiU and they are actually using the tablet controller in a very creative way, but the thing that I took away was the lack of lag between tablet and screen

Assassins Creed 3, looks ok I still can't see how they are going to make the revolutionary war era work but we'll see

Farcry 3, started oddly, but grew stronger as it went along not terrible looking of a game, the fps actions looks fairly generic

The teasers for their upcoming games look fantastic and honestly im getting psyched for the Avengers game and the Zombi Wii U game

Sony

The Last of Us, wow just wow Naughty Dog seems to have another great game in their hands

Playstation All Stars, Nathan Drake was expected, but I didn't Big Daddy coming but the better question is when will wee see Kevin Butler as a playable character

Beyond Two Souls, well if you liked Heavy Rain (which many people did) it looks like you will like this as well

Wonderbook, took way too long to get through, while the idea seems great (with JK Rowling on board expect some good titles to come out from this) E3 is about games not books

Vita support, well we got two game announcements, but hardly any gameplay was shown, it has me worried about the Vita to be honest

Well overall it was kinda a lackluster E3 today, with onyl Ubisoft and Sony having anything worthwhile to talk about, while we did see some new trailers for anticipated games like Black Ops 2 and RE 6, really there wasn't to much to get hyped about it feels as though this E3 is right for the Big N's taking

Gaming Center / Kingdom Hearts Series
« on: May 13, 2012, 09:19:12 AM »
so randomly playing through kingdom hearts the other day and decided why not have a Kingdom Hearts thread, I am sold on Kingdom hearts 3DS based on the fact of another Tron world and the hunchback of Notre Dame though I've been a bit weary on the spin off titles (having to buy different systems just to get whats going on with the story is rather ehh) but hopefully 3 gets announced soon so yeah discuss

looks interesting I tried the demo of it, it played pretty good I'm a little iffy in terms of buying the game itself seems like it is worth the rental though

Gaming Center / Black Ops 2
« on: May 03, 2012, 06:04:29 AM »
So in shocking news, there is a new COD game coming out this year, but sarcasm aside here's the trailer for Black Ops 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3tedlWs1XY

and heres a few of the known details about the game

http://kotaku.com/5906808/48-things-that-you-should-know-about-call-of-duty-black-ops-ii

don't know how I feel about the game, granted I'll buy it because of the zombie mode it will have, but still will it make enough leap from past cod titles to make it really stand out which is what im looking for (and which is why I skipped out on mw3, not enough changes to warrant a buy)

Gaming Center / Project X Zone
« on: April 24, 2012, 03:02:09 AM »
Soo anyways Project X Zone is a giant crossover project being developed I think by Namco, which is featuring stars from Namco games but also Sega and Capcom, it looks like it plays similar to Namco X Capcom, which was a tactical rpg, but it looks like fun

Gaming Center / New Super Mario Bros 2
« on: April 21, 2012, 10:48:13 AM »
so nintendo had one of their little Nintendo directs today and the major announcement, New Super Mario Bros 2

http://ds.ign.com/articles/122/1223480p1.html

my initial response is im probably going to get, after I saw a few of the screens (which hit my nostalgia switch because it has some SMW in them) I throw my money at the screen, sadly nothing happened, but yeah another reason for me to get a 3DS

Gaming Center / DLC
« on: April 21, 2012, 09:28:16 AM »
DLC, it's a word that has divided the gamer base a little bit, some game developers claim it is a why to extend the games life cycle and to combat used game retailers, some gamers cry foul and claim it is material cut from the initial product only for companies to make more money off us. Some Game developers like Valve use DLC to extend their games lifes and charge little to no price while other companies like Capcom and EA use DLC to charge us for extra weapons and colors even. So I guess I wanna get peoples insights on how they feel about DLC

me, it doesn't bug too much, whenever I hear expansion in terms of fighting games (Like when i heard about Arcade Edition for SSFIV) I get excited I'm not going to lie, but thats mostly because I love fighters

Gaming Center / Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
« on: April 15, 2012, 11:30:24 AM »
Ah yes UMVC3 easily one of the games that has a split fanbase, some dislike simply because it was released 9 months after mvc3 others praise it for bringing a much needed re-balancing to the game, me personally I love this game anyone else play it?
