Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

A strange travelling jester stole King Trodain’s most guarded royal treasure, a magic scepter with untold powers, and used it against the very kingdom tasked with protecting it from evil. Giant thorned vines crushed the castle, and the servants and castle residents were petrified in stone. The king was transmogrified into a monster, his daughter into a white horse. The player assumes the role of a humble royal guardsman of the Trodain Kingdom who has somehow survived the curse unscathed. Now the king has charged you with the task of escorting him and the princess-turned-horse on a desperate mission to hunt down the villain responsible for this tragedy. They hitch up a wagon and set forth on a journey across the realm in hopes of putting an end to this jester’s evil schemes.

Help Crypto gather the brain stems his race needs, infused with Furon DNA eons ago, and knock some monkey heads in the process.
