I’ve always been a fan of the first and second season of Digimon Adventures, yet I’ve never really delved into the Tamers or Frontier seasons. I knew the basic plot of both seasons but I never paid much to them. Well…at least not until I saw Digimon Tamers: The Adventurer’s Battle. This movie opened me up to the idea of taking the time to finally seeing the Tamers season.

The first noticeable trait of this movie was the great animation. It was detailed and the colors were vibrant throughout the movie. Even the character designs were virtually flawless, which has not always been proven true in previous Digimon movies. The OST in the movie added a certain flair to help the viewer get the atmosphere of the movie.

The plot also did a good job in keeping my interest. The movie was well paced, which allowed for both story development and action scenes. The new characters in the movie were also given a chance to develop. One such example was Minami; the viewers were given a true feel for who she is, and what her story was.

In the end, this movie gave me an interest in the Tamers season, and I plan to follow through and watch it. Beautiful animation, interesting OST, moving characters and interesting plot, what else can a ‘mon ask for? This movie is a must-see, not just the hardcore Digimon fans, but also for those mildly interested in seeing what Digimon is all about.
