StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

At the conclusion of the Brood War, the complete rout of the United Earth Directorate’s expeditionary forces and the decimation of the protoss and terran Dominion armies poised the zerg Swarm for ultimate domination of the Koprulu Sector. In spite of her major victories, Kerrigan the Queen of Blades and her Brood mysteriously halted their campaign of conquest and retreated from the conflict. Four years have passed since the war and the reconstructed terran Dominion once again emerged on top as a formidable military force seeking retribution against all of her enemies, zerg and protoss alike. Meanwhile, Jim Raynor continued his struggle against the Dominion’s self-made emperor Arcturus Mengsk, whose cruel and merciless tactics during the revolution against the Confederacy and subsequent rise to power drew his righteous ire (the most poignant being the betrayal of their then-human comrade Kerrigan). He spearheaded a resistance movement, Raynor’s Raiders, to oppose Mengsk’s tyrannical rule. When an old friend from his shady past reentered his life in Mar Sara with a business proposal to gather highly-coveted xel’naga artifacts for the Moebius Foundation, Raynor seized the opportunity to strike against Mengsk. From aboard the battle cruiser Hyperion, Jim now leads the Raiders on a series of covert missions across the sector to uncover the secrets of the artifacts and bring justice to the oppressed people of the Dominion.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Just as the new Hunter arrives in the picturesque Moga Village, a massive earthquake rocks the seaside community and he is tasked with investigating the cause of the quakes. The source is thought to be a Lagiacrus – a leviathan that has devastated the fishing fleet and is known for its aggressive behavior. However, the new Hunter is a bit of a greenhorn and needs to both earn his stripes and gain some gear before taking on the Lord of the Seas. Along with a rescued companion, the Hunter is tasked with everything from gathering resources for the rebuilding of the village to defending it from ferocious monsters in order to become strong enough to defeat the Lagiacrus… and even greater perils beyond.

World War III has descended upon humanity. Instead of the world falling into the Cold War, someone has, not pressed the big red button, but pulled an American trigger. Russia’s invasion of the U.S. continues, TF 141 has been disavowed, Soap and Price are war criminals, and Makarov continues to throw the world into chaos.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Demo Review

Monster Hunter has long been one of my favourite franchises. I’ve followed nearly every release of the game in North America, going so far as to purchase a Wii when Capcom decided to port the game. This trend continues in the third generation of the series with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U and 3DS. I was very excited when I heard this was coming to the 3DS and curious as to how the 3D aspect of the handheld console would affect play, if at all.

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

Following the future Luke’s directions, Layton and Luke are transported to a city overrun with corruption that is like nothing they could have ever imagined – and the criminal overlord is Layton himself!

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City: Echo Six

All hell has broken loose in Raccoon City. Echo Six has been dispatched by the U.S. Special Operations to determine why the city has gone dark, and it doesn’t help that it’s home to Umbrella. SpecOps has a reason to believe Umbrella is behind the things going on in Raccoon City from past reports. The civilians don’t turn out to be friendly, and a simple intel mission turns into a fight to save any survivors as well as confirm Umbrella’s involvement.

All hell is about to break loose in Raccoon City. Delta Team is on its way to assist HUNK in dealing with a traitor to Umbrella…Dr. William Birkin. U.S. SpecOps is about to receive the G-Virus from the traitor until something unexpected happens: Dr. Birkin injects himself and throws everything into a tailspin. The ensuing fallout and subsequent T-Virus outbreak leave Delta Team to be blamed, and Umbrella aims to make them fix the mistake by eliminating ALL evidence of the company’s involvement.
