Miyazawa Yukino thought she had it all coming into high school: beauty, brains, and enough charisma to fool her classmates into thinking that she was absolutely without fault. In fact, she would’ve succeeded had she not met her match in another freshman: Arima Souichirou. He alone saw through her guile and found out the truth behind the shallow masks she wore at school. After failing his college entrance exam, eighteen year-old country farmer Motosuwa Hideki starts off his ronin/cram school life in Tokyo. Upon arriving in the big city, Hideki takes notice of the popular personal computers called persocons. These powerful tools are built in the shape of humans and are extremely useful in all types of day-to-day work. Unfortunately for our main character, his budget can’t support such an expensive purchase. One night, Hideki manages to stumble upon a discarded personcon in the neighborhood trash dump. However, this persocon is definitely something out of the ordinary…

Urashima Keitaro is your typical twenty-something loser. Poor, no girlfriend, and striving to make it out on his own. The only thing keeping him going is a promise to get into the prestigious Tokyo University he made in his childhood with a girl whose name he can’t even remember. After failing the entrance exams to the school several times, Keitaro is given a reprieve by his grandmother who places him in charge of a hot spring inn. However, upon arriving at the given address, Keitaro finds that the inn is now all-girl’s dormitory and he’s now its manager! Will he ever be able to get into Tokyo University at this rate?

Suzuki Zoo isn’t your everyday zoo. Sure, it has animals and tourists, but the animals that live there are different. In fact, they all have the appearance of humans for faces, except for Grandpa, who has the luck of being a toilet. To add to this, all the animals, whether they are a snake, giraffe or elephant, are part of one big happy family.

Zombie Powder

There are stories that speak of a legendary substance that has the ability to wake the dead and grant immortality to the living. Treasure hunters from all walks of life all over the world have spent their whole existences searching for this “zombie powder” to no avail. One man currently on a quest to find the relic is Akutabi Gamma, an infamous criminal swordsman with a hefty price on his head. However during his journeys, Gamma runs into a young man whose own personal need for the mythical panacea changes the outlaw’s outlook on life.

Today in Class 5-2

Normal fifth grade classes certainly had their share of lovable delinquents. However, even at such a tender age both the guys and gals of class two are already engaging in seemingly innocent acts of insanity and depravity! Will it be as crazy and demented as it was yesterday today in class 5-2?!

Route 20

In the future, the level of pollution has forced humanity to live in domed shelters that shield them from the now toxic outside air. Akagi Utsuo is a product of this cloistered society and let’s just say he isn’t a model citizen. Plagued by both a nagging family and a lack of any real friends, Utsuo picks apart his days as a loner with nowhere to turn to besides a motorbike gang. Isn’t there anything around there that can break this young man’s monotonous life?

Hikaru no Go

Fujiwara no Sai was a master go player in the service of the imperial courts of Heian Japan. Through an act of malice and trickery, Sai was falsely accused of cheating while playing a game in front of the Emperor. Afterwards, unable to bear this shame, the illustrious go master committed suicide and existed through the ages as a ghost. Now, in the present day, a young boy named Shindou Hikaru stumbles across a goban in which Sai was residing. This fateful meeting once again turns the cogs of fate as two destinies become intertwined in the quest for the ultimate move in the game of go: the fabled “kami no itte.”
