Brynhildr in the Darkness: Episode 08-10 Review

In this group of episodes, Murakami uses his picture-perfect memory to relay the map from the device onto paper. While the group is researching the topography and potential location of the marked place on the map, Kazumi comes over to help. After Murakami tells her it wouldn’t be a good idea for her to hack and find out the information, Kazumi strips and attempts to seduce him. The group also encounters Nanami, a memory-altering witch.

The World is Still Beautiful: Episode 05-07

Nike and Livius must announce their engagement to the Sun Kingdom through a ceremony conducted by the priests of the Sun God. When there is an attempt on Nike’s life, the truth is revealed, and they change traditions. With the nation accepting of Princess Nike, Livius’ affections for Nike also grow.

Brynhildr in the Darkness: Episode 05-07 Review

I have to say, I think Brynhildr in the Darkness is smoothing out the hiccups I encountered previously this season. The characters have established themselves, and the plot is finally rolling.

Brynhildr in the Darkness: Episode 02-04 Review

Brynhildr in the Darkness is an anime that is pantomiming a depth I’m not sure it possesses yet. The plot is thickening, and I’m enjoying some aspects while being leery about others. They mystery behind the witches’ creation is what I’m most anxious to see. How did all the girls become witches? How is the lab still in operation? These are questions I’m interested in the show addressing.

The World is Still Beautiful: Episode 02-04 Review

I am utterly enthralled by The World is Still Beautiful. Princess Nike as a character is shaping up to be one of my favorite characters this season, and there’s no doubt why. She is the epitome of what all girls see in a princess, but she is also tough, brave, and intelligent. Although this sounds like a recipe for a Mary Sue, a character of complete perfection, there are flaws in her character that fit to the setting she’s placed in.

The World is Still Beautiful: Episode 01 Review

Nike, the fourth princess of the Principality of Rain, has the ability to summon rain whenever she pleases. After losing a bet with her sisters, Nike must travel to the Sun Kingdom against her wishes. In order for her country to continue being autonomous, she is promised to wed the King of the Sun Kingdom, Livius I. When she arrives at the Sun Kingdom, Nike bids farewell to her escorts and enters the country alone. Soon realizing how different the Sun Kingdom is from her home, Nike passes out due to hunger, and is rescued from thieves by a pair of sisters.

Brynhildr in the Darkness: Episode 01 Review

This first episode has left me with so many questions, and I have only a few answers. Brynhildr in the Darkness, judging from the opening credits, is obviously aiming for a mystery with some misery generously sprinkled on for good measure.

One day, Madoka Kaname, a kind fourteen-year-old girl, is approached by a mysterious creature called Kyubey. This creature offers Madoka and her friend, Sayaka Miki, a chance to make their ultimate wish come true. However, there is one condition: they must fight witches that bring despair and darkness to humanity as magical girls.

K-ON!!

Four high school girls come together by chance to form a music group and a lifelong friendship. Among them is Hirasawa Yui, a girl who is prone to being lazy and wants to do something with her high school career in clubs. Being the classic ditz character that she is, she chooses the light music club, thinking she will play the castanets. Imagine her shock when she finds out she must learn guitar and join a J-pop-type band! She, Akiyama Mio (bass), Tanaka Ritsu (drums), and Kotobuki Tsumugi (keyboard) become fast friends and spend their hours procrastinating band practice and having “After-School Tea Time.”

High School of the Dead

It is another day of school, but instead of sitting in class, Komuro Takashi is on the roof of his high school thinking about the girl he loves. While up there, he notices a disturbance at the school’s gate. It seems that a grotesque man has bitten a teacher, which leads to an unknown zombie infection spreading rampant throughout the school. Now it is up to Takashi, four of his peers, and the school nurse to survive the impending zombie apocalypse together.
