Every year in Puerto Rico, the last week of May brings thousands and thousands of people waiting in line for Puerto Rico Comic Con. You can see the joy on everyone’s faces, since the convention is a huge deal here; it would be completely depressing to miss it. For the first time, it filled two hotels, and it seems like the staff are really pulling it together and optimizing everything to make sure all attendees have the best time possible. I’m very pleased with the results.

New York Comic Con 2011

New York Anime Festival. Or, New York Comic-Con (NYCC), depending on who you talk to. For the second year in a row, the two were the same convention. After New York Anime Festival had had three years to cement itself as the New York anime con, Reed Pop brought back NYCC from its hiatus in 2010 and combined the two conventions into one mega event, to varying results.
