World Cosplay Summit US Finals 2014!
There is excitement in the air in the world of cosplaying this weekend, as the 2014 World Cosplay Summit US Finals will be taking place this Sunday at Anime Central in Chicago, Illinois. Anime Secrets is proud to be working with the World Cosplay Summit US Staff to bring in-depth coverage on all the finalists competing this weekend. The competition is looking really stiff, and it is extremely difficult to root for just one team.
For some, this Sunday is exactly like a football playoff game to decide who goes to the Super Bowl. For those unaware, the American representatives to the World Cosplay Summit are chosen and compete at three levels of judging held throughout the year: regional, national, and international rounds. Regional rounds are held at various conventions across the country. The winners of each Regional Round move on to the National Finals to compete for the chance to travel to Japan for the World Cosplay Summit where they will compete against Cosplay Teams representing countries from all over the world! Each entry is comprised of a two person team who must not only showcase their crafting skills as a cosplayer, but also their stage presence by performing a skit in cosplay.
